How the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser changed the lives of five customers.

Medication adherence is a crucial aspect of managing chronic illnesses, but it can be challenging to keep track of multiple medications, doses, and schedules.

Patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals alike can benefit from the use of automated pill dispensers that can help improve medication adherence and manage medication schedules.

The Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser is one such device that can simplify medication management and help individuals achieve better health outcomes.

In this blog, we will explore the features of the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser and how it has changed the lives of five individuals.

Features of the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser:

The Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser is a high-tech device that is designed to simplify medication management for patients and caregivers. Some of the key features of the device include:

(1) Remote Monitoring using WiFi and smartphone app: Caregivers and healthcare professionals can monitor medication adherence remotely and receive alerts if doses are missed on their smartphone. The device can connect to WiFi, which allows others to use the app to connect to the device and remotely manage medication schedules.

(2) Customizable Schedules: Users can set up customizable medication schedules with different doses and timings.

(3) Alarm Notifications: The pill dispenser’s alarm system employs a combination of flashing lights, a loud beeping sound, and a voice prompt that reminds the user to take their medication at the designated time.

(4) Lockable Compartment: Equipped with a lockable compartment, the device ensures that medication is not accessible to unauthorized individuals. Medication can only be accessed from the sliding window that grants access to each dose at the set alarm times.

Case Studies:

Now, let’s take a look at how the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser has changed the lives of five individuals for the better:

Case Study 1: Linda

Linda is an 81-year-old woman who has been living with Alzheimer’s disease for several years. She lives alone and often forgets to take her medication, which has led to worsening symptoms and hospitalization in the past. Her son, who lives out of state, was concerned about his mother’s well-being and decided to purchase the Medi Alarm for her.

Linda found the device to be a helpful tool in managing her medications. The customizable medication schedule helped her to remember when to take her medication, and the alarm notifications were particularly helpful when she forgot. The device’s lockable compartment prevented her from accidentally taking the wrong medication or overdosing, which had been a concern for her son.

Linda’s son also found the remote monitoring capabilities of the device to be invaluable. He was able to monitor his mother’s medication adherence from afar and could intervene if there were any concerns. This gave him peace of mind and allowed him to feel more confident in his mother’s ability to live independently.

After using the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser for a few weeks, Linda’s son noticed a significant improvement in his mother’s overall health and well-being. She was taking her medication consistently and was experiencing fewer symptoms as a result. Her son was grateful for the device’s help in managing his mother’s medication and was relieved to see the positive impact it had on her quality of life.

Case Study 2: Martha

Martha is a 68-year-old woman who has been diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes. She was struggling to manage her medication schedules and often forgot to take her medications on time. Her daughter, who lives in another state, was concerned about her mother’s health and decided to purchase the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser for her.

Martha found the device easy to use and was able to set up a customized medication schedule that reminded her when to take her medications. She also appreciated the lockable compartment, which gave her peace of mind knowing that her medication was secure. Her daughter was able to monitor her medication adherence remotely and was relieved to know that her mother was taking her medication as prescribed.

Case Study 3: Jack

Jack is a 45-year-old man who has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was taking multiple medications throughout the day and was struggling to keep track of his medication schedule. He often missed doses, which affected his health outcomes. His physician recommended us to help him manage his medications.

Jack found the device to be a game-changer. He was able to set up a customized medication schedule that reminded him when to take his medications. The device’s alarm notifications were helpful as they reminded him to take his medication even when he was busy. He also appreciated the lockable compartment, which prevented his children from accessing his medication.

Case Study 4: Sarah

Sarah is a 35-year-old woman who has been diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar disorder.

She was taking multiple medications throughout the day, and it was difficult for her to remember which medication to take and when. She often missed doses, which affected her mental health. Her therapist recommended the Medi Alarm to help her manage her medication schedule.

Sarah found the device’s alarm notifications were helpful as they reminded her to take her medication even when she was busy or distracted.

Case Study 5: David

David is a 70-year-old man who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

He was taking multiple medications throughout the day to manage his symptoms, but he often forgot to take them on time, which affected his health outcomes. His daughter was concerned about his health and decided to purchase the Medi Alarm for him.

David found the device easy to use and the lockable lid prevented any chance of his grandchildren accessing his medication when they visited. His daughter was able to monitor his medication adherence remotely and was relieved to know that her father was taking his medication as prescribed.

Conclusion

The Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser is a high-tech device that can simplify medication management for patients and caregivers. The device’s customizable schedules, alarm notifications, lockable compartment, and remote monitoring capabilities make it a valuable tool in managing medication adherence. The case studies presented above illustrate how the device has changed the lives of five individuals for the better. By using the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser, they were able to manage their medication schedules more effectively, which led to better health outcomes. If you or someone you know is struggling with medication adherence, consider investing in the Medi Alarm WiFi Automatic Pill Dispenser to help manage your medications effectively.

6 Exercises for Seniors to Keep Them Happy and Moving

We all know that exercise and a good diet are essential to a healthy lifestyle. And as we age, this becomes even more true. Regular exercise is especially important for seniors. More seniors than ever are opting for an active lifestyle instead of a sedentary one. Today we are going to look at the 6 best exercises for seniors to keep them happy and moving.

The Benefits of Exercise for Seniors

Our bodies change as we get older, which means we have different reasons for staying in shape as seniors than we did when we were younger. While physical fitness provides benefits at any age, the health benefits physically fit seniors enjoy are notable. Doctors and researchers say seniors should remain active as possible as exercise can help you live a healthier and longer life.

Further, seniors who exercise regularly are less likely to depend on others. Regular exercises allow seniors to maintain their self-reliance and maintain their independence late into life. Exercise also helps reduce falls. Seniors 65 and older make up 95% of fall deaths in Australia each year. By exercising, seniors can prevent becoming part of that percentage.

Regular exercise also means more energy. Inactivity makes you tired, while activity gives you more energy, promoting the release of endorphins which are essential neurotransmitters linked to pain mitigation and a sense of well-being. These endorphins combat stress hormones and encourage healthy sleep habits.

Heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and depression are the most common medical conditions among seniors. An active lifestyle can help prevent these conditions or reduce the symptoms of these diseases if your elderly loved one already suffers from one of these conditions.

Finally, regular exercise improves brain function and reduces the risk of developing Alzheimer’s and dementia by nearly 50%. A healthy body means a healthy mind, and seniors with active lifestyles have improved cognitive health.

6 Exercises for Seniors to Keep Them Happy and Moving

While exercise is incredibly important for seniors, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Especially if your loved one hasn’t worked out in a while. Re-entry into the active world can be daunting. It is also possible that exercises they did when they were younger are no longer doable. Below are our 6 exercises for seniors to keep them happy and moving.

*Remember, before launching into a new exercise regime, it is important to check with your doctor to ensure you are healthy enough for the particular exercise, and/or to see which exercises are ideal for your fitness level.*

1: Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is the perfect form of low-impact exercise that improves muscle strength, balance, mobility, and flexibility. All of these are crucial aspects of senior health. Chair yoga is a more accessible form of yoga and provides less stress on muscles, joints, and bones. It has also been shown to improve mental health in seniors. Regular chair yoga also leads to better quality sleep, less instances of depression, and a better sense of well-being.

2: Water Aerobics

Water aerobics have become an extremely popular form of exercise and rehabilitation for people of all ages. But it is particularly popular among seniors. Water exercises are ideal for those with arthritis and other forms of joint pain as the water puts less stress on the joints. Further, water provides natural resistance, eliminating the need for weights in this natural form of strength training. Water aerobics can improve a senior’s flexibility, strength, and balance, while putting minimal stress on their bodies.

3: Pilates

Another popular, low-impact exercise is Pilates. Developed over a century ago, Pilates focuses on breathing, alignment, concentration, and core strength. This type of exercise typically involves mats, Pilates balls, and other accessories to build strength without the stress that comes from high-impact exercises. Pilates has also been shown to improve balance, increase flexibility, and develop core strength in seniors.

4: Resistance Workouts

Resistance workouts focus on using resistance bands to strengthen the core. Resistance bands are stretchy strips of rubber that add resistance to your workout without adding stress to your body. These workouts are beginner friendly, making them popular among seniors. Resistance band workouts have relatively cheap, up front costs, making them the ideal at-home exercise. These workouts also improve posture, balance, and mobility.

5: Walking

Walking is one of the least stressful and most accessible forms of exercise. However, for some seniors, walking is a bigger challenge than others. This means everyone will have their own unique distance and step goals. While doctors recommend 10,000 steps a day on average for a healthy lifestyle, those with arthritis, joint pain, disabilities, and difficulty walking may settle for a smaller goal. A study found that walking 10,000 steps reduced the ten-year outlook for mortality by 46%. Encouraging seniors to walk is important as it not only promotes a healthy lifestyle, it also strengthens muscles, and lowers the risk of colon cancer, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

6: Body Weight Workouts

Unfortunately, over a third of seniors suffer from severe muscle loss. Muscle loss can be devastating and incredibly debilitating for seniors. It can lead to hormonal issues, problems metabolising protein, and other similar conditions. Muscle atrophy is a serious issue and body weight workouts are one of the best ways to counteract this issue in seniors. It is also extremely affordable. The materials needed for body weight workouts generally only include workout clothes and a mat to soften the impact of the floor.

Are There Exercises Seniors Should Avoid?

Unfortunately, a number of common workouts are not ideal for seniors. They are more suited to younger people who are looking to lose weight or gain muscle tone. These workouts can put an unhealthy strain on seniors, especially if they have arthritis, joint pain, atrophied muscles, posture problems, or issues with balance. Seniors should avoid the following exercises:

  • Weight training (with weight machines/bench press)
  • Long-distance running/Marathons
  • Upright rowing
  • Deadlifting
  • HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
  • Rock Climbing

Seniors prefer their independence but that often comes at the cost of our state of mind. This is where Medi Alarm steps in. Medi Alarm offers a range of fall detectors and personal alarms. The Media Alarm 4G PRO can detect a fall or can summon help with a press of the emergency button. The device will then begin calling the 8 preassigned numbers until someone picks up. There is clear, 2-way communication between the device and it also texts the GPS location of your loved one, so they can be found easily. Explore our range today or contact us today for more information!

Why Did You Choose Medi Alarm?

Our clients purchase our fall alarms for a wide variety of reasons. Some purchase the fall alarms for elderly family members after a significant fall event. Others are purchased by the clients for themselves. Today, one of our clients, Ron Coffey, is sitting down to discuss with us why he purchased a fall alarm and why he chose Medi Alarm.

What Made You Decide to Purchase a Fall Alarm?

One of the things I’ve learnt as I get older is how easy it is to fall down and how hard it is to get back up on my feet.

I’ve had a few falls and I’ve been very fortunate that I haven’t broken any bones. My wife hasn’t been so lucky. I came home to find her on the floor. She had been there for about 3 hours. She broke her left elbow. Recovery has been a long process, because she is stroke survivor.

Her fall is what pushed me to get a personal alarm.

Why Did You Choose Medi Alarm in Particular?

I chose the Medi Alarm because it self activates, and I don’t have to press a button.  It has a GPS locator so that my family knows where I am it’s activated.

It’s quite inexpensive for what it does, and there are no monthly rental fees.

Medi Alarm fall alarms are 2-way, hands free communication devices with crystal clear sound. It offers automatic fall detection for all users. And they work anywhere, not just at home, so you can still get help if you have a fall while shopping or on a walk.

The fall device never runs out of credit for calls or texts and the team at Medi Alarm can pre-program the device with your chosen emergency contacts, making it easy and simple for you. Medi Alarm also offers ongoing customer support to answer all your questions.

What Has Your Experience Been Like with Medi Alarm?

I fell over and landed on my back at home recently. Within 30 seconds the alarm called my daughter, my son, and two of my grandsons. I eventually got myself back up, and I consider myself extremely lucky to be okay.

Each Medi Alarm device is fitted with an SOS button. If the button is pressed or a fall is detected, Medi Alarm will call your choice of contact (you can program up to eight contact into the device). The device will call each contact until someone answers. The device will also send a text message to each of your contacts with your GPS location. This makes it easier to locate the user in the event of a fall and prevent further injury.

Emergency Contacts

We can program your emergency contacts into the device before dispatch if you fill out the form after checkout. Alternatively we can do this for you over the phone, after it arrives, by remotely accessing your Medi Alarm to update your emergency contacts.

What Would You Say to Someone Considering Purchasing a Medi Alarm Fall Alarm?

I believe that anybody who lives on their own, works on farms, goes fishing, shooting, bushwalking, should buy this device. Do it now, as tomorrow may be too late.

Medi Alarm is the best personal alarm on the market for women, lone workers, and security teams. They are used across Australia because of their inbuilt GPS monitoring and fall detection technology. Medi Alarm fall alarms send your GPS location in a text message to each of your programmed contacts in the event of a fall. It will also call each contact in order, on repeat, until someone picks up. If the device detects a fall it will automatically activate an SOS response when the alarm detects a fall. The device is also water resistant, meaning it will still operate in the rain or while in the shower.

The Medi Alarm device can be programmed with up to 8 contacts of your choosing. These can be family, friends, and even your own personal security team. We suggest you don’t programme your device with emergency numbers like 000. If you fall and hit your head, and become unconscious, 000 will not be able to find you, and 000 does not receive text message notifications. Instead, we suggest you programme in friends, family, co workers, personal security teams, or even the Medi Alarm 24/7 monitoring team who can answer the device SOS call and who can contact 000 emergency services as needed.

Is There Anything Else You’d Like to Say?

I believe [the risk of falls] is a community project that we can all be involved in by talking to our families, friends, neighbours, carers, and work colleagues about the risks of falls.

I am happy to talk to anyone about my experiences with the Medi Alarm. I am not paid to promote this device by Medi Alarm or anyone else. I am an extremely happy and satisfied customer.

How to know if you need an emergency alert device

An emergency alert device can be used by a lot of different people for a lot of different reasons.

That’s the really great part about our emergency alarm. It’s features make the device extremely versatile, which means as a company we can help keep a wide range of people safe.

The features of our Medi Alarm PRO 4G make it ideal for creating peace of mind in a wide variety of different personal and professional circumstances.

  • Programmed with 8 emergency contacts
  • Sends GPS text message in emergency
  • Optional 24/7 monitoring
  • In built fall detection technology
  • Telstra sim card subscription means you’ll never lose credit

Who can use an emergency alert device

One of the best features of our Medi Alarm is that it will function no matter where you are. It doesn’t need to be within a certain range of a base unit.

The medical alarm uses the 4G network to operate, which means that you can use it when you’re at home, at work, at the gym, doing the shopping, or taking the dog for a walk.

That means that our emergency alert device can be used by almost anyone who needs immediate access to emergency help.

Medical alarm for the elderly

The most common use for the Medi Alarm is to provide peace of mind to elderly members of the community and their families.

The Medi Alarm provides immediate contact to emergency help whenever the wearer needs it.

The easy use nature of a medical alarm means that our elderly customers don’t need to worry about familiarising themselves with new technology.

All they have to do is press the button, and they are immediately connected to the help they need.

Our Medi Alarm PRO 4G can be worn around the neck on a lanyard, at the belt on a belt clip, or like a watch with our wristband.

In the event that the wearer falls and is unable to press the button, the device will automatically trigger and begin to call through the programmed emergency contacts.

This technology has provided invaluable peace of mind to families, as well as allowing elderly people to maintain their autonomy.

Emergency alert device for security

Security teams have been investing in emergency alert devices more and more recently.

The easy to use device allows security guards to quickly call for help by pressing a single button.

Our friendly tech support team can disable the inbuilt fall detection, so that the alarm is not triggered when security guards are moving around.

The one thing that security teams have found incredibly valuable is that the Medi Alarm can be programmed to what is called “listen in mode”.

The “listen in mode” disables the ability for the person picking up the phone to communicate to the person calling for help. In effect, it disables the speaker so that nothing the emergency contact says can be heard by anyone near the alarm.

The alarm will normally beep to signal that the emergency alert device has been activated. This function can also be disabled, in order to turn the device into a silent alarm.

This means that anybody who is around will not know that the alarm has been triggered, and the security team can still listen to what is happening.

Late hours business image

Precaution for late hours businesses

A lot of late night workers have benefited greatly from our emergency alert device.

Our medical alarm offers crystal clear communication between the person pressing the alarm button and the person picking up the phone.

This has offered considerable assurance to a lot of high risk jobs. The Medi Alarm allows tradesmen and contractors to quickly get help if an accident occurs on a work site.

The best part is that when the alarm is activated, you still have a ten second period to cancel the alarm.

So, if you accidentally press the alarm while working, you can still stop the emergency alert from being sent out.

Where can I get an emergency alert device?

We recommend the Medi Alarm PRO 4G over all other devices on the market at the moment.

What is a Fall Detector Alarm?

Emergencies can happen suddenly and without warning. This is especially the case for the elderly. This is why automatic fall detection technology is so invaluable. This life-saving medical alert system can help in the case where a patient can’t press a help button after a fall or during a medical emergency. Today we are going to discuss what a fall detector alarm is and why it is so invaluable for your family. Especially for our older family members.

What is a Fall Detector Alarm?

fall detector alarm or personal fall alarm is a small device that detects when a person falls. The device automatically employs technology to detect and get fast assistance in the event of a fall. It also allows the user to summon help without the need to press a button. They can be worn around the neck or on the wrist. Fall detector alarms are ideal for those with limited mobility, those with disabilities, people discharged from hospital who require additional support, those working alone, and people with medical conditions like epilepsy or diabetes. But they are especially useful for the elderly.

An automatic fall alarm for the elderly ensures that your loved one is protected at all times, allowing you to locate them after a fall. Bed sensors for the elderly are popular, but they can only detect a fall from bed. Fall alarms can detect a fall whenever it happens, at home or out and about. Even in parking garages!

How Does a Fall Detector Work?

A fall monitor uses accelerometers to detect a fall. These are a type of low power radio wave technology sensor that monitors the movements of the user. State of the art automatic fall detectors use three axis accelerometers, like those used in smartwatches and smartphones. Fall monitors can measure when the user has suddenly fallen by detecting the abrupt changes in body movement. It can even evaluate the user’s body position, physical activity, and the smoothness of the acceleration of movements. If it detects these variables are in the danger zone and a fall has occurred, it will automatically activate an emergency fall alert.

When the fall detector alarm automatically detects a fall, it will take the following actions:

  1.     The pendant detects the fall
  2.     The device begins calling the numbers you have registered until someone picks up
  3.     It will also text your registered numbers with a link to Google Maps, showing the user’s location
  4.     The user can talk to whoever picked up through the device.

How Accurate is a Fall Detector?

Medi Alarm fall detectors utilise location tracking and GPS to display the location of the wearer on a map. This is texted to your registered numbers with a location accuracy of 2.5 meters. It will work anywhere there is GPS signal and 4G or 3G coverage. This makes automatic fall detectors of elderly patients invaluable.

Does Fall Detection Work Without Cellular?

Medical alert devices with automatic fall detection, like those from Medialarm, don’t need WIFI or NBN to work. It is a standalone device with its own SIM card. It does not rely on any other device, NBN or network. Think of it like a mobile phone in that it uses a SIM card (which is already included) and uses the mobile network. This means it will work anywhere that is covered by the mobile network. This is true for both the Medi Alarm PRO 4G and the Medi Alarm 3G. Medi Alarm includes a mobile SIM card with $45 credit free of charge for the first year. This is more than enough to last you’re 12 months, as it is reserved for emergencies only. After the first year, your initial credit will expire and you will need to top up your device’s credit.

This does also mean your listed contacts can call you and the pendant will answer automatically. This will be charged like a standard mobile phone call, however. This is why we don’t recommend dialing out unless it is an emergency as this will use up your credit. If you want to use the speed dial feature, you just press the top yellow button on the right side of the pendant. You can then scroll through the list and choose who you would like to call.

Medi Alarm is also not a monitoring service. The device will call your contacts directly. You can also list 000 on your device if you wish. It is also important that you work out an emergency plan with your listed contacts so that they can call 000 on your behalf, if necessary. This saves you the high fees of a monitoring service and gives you the freedom of not being locked into a contract.

Medi Alarm Pro 4G vs Other Personal Tracking Devices

There are a number of personal devices on sale now and as technology improves, so do the devices. However, which is the right one for you? Below we are going to discuss the different personal watches and devices on the market and how they compare to Medi Alarm!

Fitbit vs Medi Alarm Pro 4G Fall Detector Alarm

The Fitbit is a fantastic, personal fitness device. It helps you track your sleep, health, and fitness while encouraging you to do and move more. And for the elderly, exercise is important. A recent study showed that those between 70 and 89 who walked daily were 28% less likely to become disabled. As well as this, it was found that 18% were less likely to have episodes of physical disability. It also found that Fitbit fitness trackers are a great way for people of all ages to track results, achieve goals, and connect with other users around the world.

Fitbit devices have a range of uses from tracking steps, distance walked, and calories burned, to the number of floors of stairs climbed, sleep patterns, and tracking heart rate. Many versions also allow calling and caller ID.

Fitbit is fantastic for encouraging exercise, but it does not provide the medical alert safety measures of Medi Alarm. This is why we recommend pairing your Fitbit device with Medi Alarm so that your loved one is always protected when out and about. This way they are getting important exercise while being protected in the event of a fall or emergency.

Medi Alarm Pro 4G vs Apple Watch Fall Detector Alarm

Apple watches are more popular than ever and it is easy to see why. These small devices can do nearly everything a mobile phone can do and features some amazing health apps. They are ideal for both health and emergency uses for the elderly. These watches feature ECG apps, irregular rhythm notifications, heart rate monitors, easy communication, as well as emergency SOS and fall detection features. These are utilised by people of all ages and fitness ranges.

But while it has many advantages, the Apple Watch is not always a great option for the elderly or those with disabilities. The small screen can be difficult to use or see for those with limited mobility and vision. It also has a steep learning curve, that not all people can grasp. Medi Alarm, on the other hand, is an automatic device that begins the emergency process as soon as a fall is detected. This means there isn’t an issue of needing to reach a button or view a screen to get help.

Medi Alarm vs Android Watches Fall Detector Alarm

Like the Apple Watch, the Samsung/Android smartwatch features heart rate monitors and a fall detector. It also allows older people to download the SOS app, allowing them to quickly contact family or friends in an emergency. It also features a blood pressure monitor. However, like the Apple Watch, it has a small screen and steep learning curve that can make it difficult for the elderly or those with disabilities to utilise. This is why Medi Alarm works better for those who are a fall risk or used in conjunction with a fitness app. Further, like the Apple Watch, Android watches are extremely expensive, cost hundreds of dollars, while Medi Alarm is just a fraction of the cost!

Should I Turn on Fall Detection?

Medi Alarm devices already have automatic fall detection enabled as default. This is because their main purpose is to detect falls in the user. However, if you own an Apple Watch, the fall detection option is not on by default. Many people, of all ages, can benefit from turning on automatic fall detection in these devices. It can be helpful for those who are pregnant or have a disability, if they fall and need more help after a fall. The app is also prudent for those who are going hiking or walking in remote areas. If you fall and are hurt or stuck, it is easy to alert someone for help. For example, the Apple Watch offers an emergency screen with an alert and slider. You can either dismiss the alert by pressing the “I’m OK” button or let the watch automatically call for you. However, these devices often need a nearby paired smartphone in order to call, while Medi Alarm has its own SIM card and can call up to 8 contacts, including 000.

What is the Best Fall Detection Device?

Medi Alarm is the best automatic fall detector alarm on the market. It comes in a land-line, home only device, 3G device, and 4G Pro device. Unlike a bed sensor alarm, Medi Alarm devices are personal devices that come as pendants or wrist options that can detect a fall, even when out shopping.

The Medi Alarm with home base is a medical alert alarm, land-line based, home only device that allows you to call for help if you suffer a fall, can’t get up or find yourself in an emergency situation.

The 3G fall detector is a personal, mobile alarm. It is highly recommended as an elderly fall alarm. It is used as an aid to secure the independence of a patient while also providing your loved ones with peace of mind. You can take this alarm with you everywhere, similar to a prepaid mobile phone. However, it is more discreet and without the complications of a phone. When activated, using the 3G network, it will alert your loved ones that you need help.

Medi Alarm Pro 4G is a 4G network personal fall detector that works much like the 3G device. It allows the wearer to be independent while providing family with peace of mind. This alarm can go anywhere with you, to alert if you have a fall, no matter where you are. It is similar to a prepaid mobile phone but is more discreet and without the complications. When activated, using the 4G mobile network, it will alert your loved ones that you need help. If you drop out of 4G and into a 3G zone, this alarm will still work.

Can I Get a Medi Alarm Pro 4G For Free?

A fall alarm pendant is fantastic to allow our loved one’s freedom and independence while providing peace of mind. The Medi Alarm Pro 4G pendant is not free but we do offer a mobile SIM card with $45 credit, free of charge for the first year. This is more than enough for a fall detector for the elderly for 12 months. This is because the pendant is for emergencies only. While it can make calls out and receive calls using your list of registered numbers, this will be charged at a standard mobile call.

After the first year, your initial credit will expire and you will need to top up the device credit yourself.

You may be eligible for a free Medialarm under the NDIS, as Medialarm is a registered NDIS provider. If you are an NDIS member, your plan manager will be able to provide further information on your funding pack and assist you to buy a Medialarm using that funding.
